Job summary

Texas Health Resources seeks a Paramedic (EMT-P) to join the fast-paced Emergency Department at Texas Health Denton. This full-time night role offers 36 hours per week with weekend and holiday requirements.

The paramedic will provide safe patient care under physician delegation, document in the electronic health record, and collaborate with physicians, RNs, respiratory therapy, and ancillary teams in a defined ED scope of practice.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent (GED) required.
• EMT-P license required.
• ACLS within 90 days of hire.
• BCLS prior to providing independent patient care and maintained quarterly.
• PALS within 90 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Administers IV fluids and medications under physician delegation and uses barcode verification.
• Completes accurate documentation in the EHR.
• Maintains airway, intake, elimination, mobility, and hygiene needs.
• Applies antiembolic stockings and cervical collar management.
• Performs external defibrillation and oxygen therapy as needed.
• Other duties as assigned by the care team.
