Weekly Hours: 24 Shift: 1st Status: Part Time Baptist Health Louisville is expanding, and our 30+ bed Observation Unit plays a key role in supporting the Emergency Department and telemetry units. We care for low-acuity patients who need short-term evaluation before determining whether admission is required. This fast-paced unit offers strong nurse-to-patient ratios and is well-suited for nurses with Telemetry, ED, ICU/CCU, or other acute-care experience.

Responsibilities

• Complete comprehensive assessments and reassessments.
• Develop individualized, evidence‑based plans of care.
• Provide care aligned with hospital policies, professional standards, and our mission and values.
• Evaluate patient responses and adjust care as needed.
• Use strong critical thinking, clinical reasoning, and organizational skills in daily practice.

Minimum Requirements

• Active Kentucky RN License
• BCLS ACLS
• Preferred Background Telemetry, ED, ICU/CCU, or acute-care experience.
