Sentara Norfolk General Hospital is seeking a Registered Nurse Supervisor for the Emergency Department. This full-time role supports a Level I Trauma Center, with evening-rotating shifts and weekend rotation. The ED team delivers rapid, high-quality care across trauma, cardiac, stroke, and critical care cases.

The ideal candidate has a BSN, RN license, BLS within 90 days, and 2+ years in emergency nursing, including supervisory experience. Sign-on and relocation assistance may be available.

Qualifications

• BSN degree required.
• Registered Nurse license required.
• BLS certification required within 90 days of hire.
• Minimum 2 years RN experience.
• Emergency Department experience preferred.
• 1 year nursing leadership/supervisory experience required.

Responsibilities

• Supervise ED nursing staff during evening shifts.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary team to deliver high-quality emergency care.
• Ensure patient safety and adherence to policies and evidence-based practices.
• Participate in trauma center operations and annual Magnet processes.
