Memorial Hermann Health System in Sugar Land seeks an Assistant Nurse Manager for the Emergency Department to provide leadership, oversee daily operations, and support staffing and staff development. The role requires 3+ years of clinical leadership in an ED setting and active Texas nursing licensure.
ACLS/BLS/PALS and TNCC are preferred; leadership certifications are a bonus. The position supports 24/7 coverage with a focus on safe, efficient, evidence-based care within budgetary constraints.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Nursing required; Master’s in Nursing preferred if the Bachelor’s is in a non-nursing field.
- Current State of Texas nursing license or temporary/compact license.
- ACLS/BLS/PALS; TNCC; leadership certification a bonus.
- Three+ years of clinical leadership experience.
Responsabilités
- Assist with deployment of departmental goals aligned to mission and values.
- Direct day-to-day operations and staff scheduling under nurse manager guidance.
- Coordinate care across units with nurses and providers; act as mentor/coach.
- Lead quality improvement initiatives and ensure PI standards are met.
- Manage budget input and participate in staffing decisions.
