Job summary

HCA Healthcare's Medical City Dallas is seeking a Nurse Educator to enhance professional practice through evidence-based education for nursing and clinical staff at the facility.

You will lead onboarding, develop competency programs, partner with the Director of Clinical Professional Development, and promote lifelong learning and EBP to improve patient care. This full-time role requires a BSN, RN licensure, and travel up to 25%.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in nursing is required.
• Master’s degree in nursing is preferred.
• 2+ years of experience in clinical education, CSC, academia or leadership.
• 2+ years of experience in acute care hospital.
• Currently licensed as an RN in the state of practice or has an active compact state license.
• Nationally Recognized Specialty certification preferred.
• Basic Life Saving (BLS) required.
• Ability to travel up to 25%.

Responsibilities

• Participates in development, coordination and evaluation of onboarding and orientation programs for nursing and other healthcare personnel.
• Provides orientation/onboarding programs to promote employee retention.
• Collaborates with the Director of Clinical Professional Development to adjust the program based on evaluation results.
• Develops and manages competency facilitation and evaluation activities.
• Designs educational activities to address practice gaps for identified audiences.
• Plans educational content delivery that encourages learner engagement.
• Promotes evidence-based practice to improve patient care and supports QA initiatives.
• Supports lifelong learning and proficiency development across staff.
