Job summary

Tampa General Hospital is seeking a Clinical Nurse for the Emergency Department Hold to deliver high-quality nursing care, conduct comprehensive assessments, and implement individualized care plans. You will document care, communicate with the health care team, and engage patients and families in the planning and execution of care.

The role requires ADN, Florida RN license, and BLS; ACLS/PALS and other certifications may be required.

Qualifications

• Associate's Degree in Nursing required.
• RN license issued by Florida or Compact State.
• BLS certification required; ACLS/PALS may be requested.
• Unit-specific certifications may be required (e.g., NIHSS).

Responsibilities

• Assesses and analyzes health status of patients on the unit.
• Performs ongoing assessments and documents per policy.
• Initiates discharge planning at admission.
• Plans and coordinates patient care with the care team.
• Documents plan of care, interventions, and patient responses.
• Educates patients based on needs and evaluates understanding.
