Job summary

Hartford HealthCare's Emergency Department at Hartford Hospital is seeking an LPN to join the fast-track area under RN supervision. This role focuses on delivering timely care to patients with non-life-threatening conditions, collaborating with a multidisciplinary team.

You will measure vitals, assess pain, administer medications, educate patients and assist with discharge planning. Connecticut LPN license and BLS are required; 1+ year of recent ED or acute care experience strongly preferred.

Qualifications

• Education: Successful completion of an accredited LPN education program.
• Licensure: Current Connecticut LPN license required prior to start date.
• Experience: 1+ year of recent experience strongly preferred
• Certifications: BLS certification by American Heart Association.

Responsibilities

• Provide care in the ED fast track under RN supervision in a high‑paced setting.
• Collaborate with the multidisciplinary team to coordinate patient care.
• Educate patients and assist with discharge planning and instructions.
• Identify changes in patient condition, monitor vital signs and pain scores, and administer medications as ordered.
