Job summary

Hartford Hospital's Emergency Department is seeking a Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner to join a high-acuity, Level I Trauma Center team. You will assess and manage patients across all triage levels, perform procedures, coordinate care with residents and attendings, and pursue ongoing professional development within a supportive academic setting.

Open to Physician Assistants or Family Nurse Practitioners with an unrestricted CT license and emergency medicine experience.

Qualifications

• Connecticut license required (unrestricted).
• Physician Assistant or Family Nurse Practitioner training.
• 1+ years' emergency medicine or related experience.
• Experience with suturing and minor procedures preferred.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate, diagnose, and manage patients with acute illnesses or trauma in the ED.
• Perform procedures within scope and develop treatment plans.
• Coordinate care with multidisciplinary teams and escalate when needed.
• Maintain efficiency in a fast-paced ED setting.
