Job summary

Hartford HealthCare's Backus Hospital Emergency Department in Norwich, CT seeks a Registered Nurse (RN) to join a fast-paced, collaborative team. The role emphasizes patient-centered care and utilizes the nursing process to plan and deliver care.

The position requires BLS, 1 year RN experience, and licensure as a CT RN; ACLS/TNCC/PALS and CPI certifications must be obtained within specified timelines. BSN preferred.

Qualifications

• BSN preferred.
• One year RN experience.
• BLS required.
• ACLS, TNCC, PALS, CPI certifications within 90 days of hire.
• Ability to obtain and maintain moderate sedation administration within 9 months of hire.
• Current unrestricted CT RN license in good standing.
• Certified Emergency Nurse, Certified Pediatric Emergency Nurse or NRP preferred.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to provide patient-centered care.
• Utilize the nursing process to develop a plan of care which meets physical, emotional, spiritual, cultural and educational needs.
• Support a fast-paced, high-quality care environment in the Emergency Department.
