Job summary

Banner Casa Grande Medical Center in Casa Grande, Arizona, seeks a Senior Emergency Department Technician to lead patient care staff in a fast-paced ED. The role involves administrative support and liaison with physicians, nurses, and other departments.

The full-time day shift runs 36 hours/week with weekends on a rotating basis and holiday rotations. Experience in medical clerical work and strong organizational/communication skills are essential.

Qualifications

• High school diploma/GED or equivalent working knowledge.
• Requires 1 year of medical clerical experience; preferably in a hospital or physician office setting, or prior experience in customer service.
• Must possess excellent organizational skills, as well as effective human relations and communication skills.
• Working knowledge of medical terminology and computer literacy is required.
• Knowledge of commonly used office software and keyboarding skills.

Responsibilities

• Performs receptionist/clerical duties to support department operations and customer issue resolution.
• Processes admissions, records bed assignments, prints labels, and orders outside records.
• Maintains complete patient records, progress notes, and consent forms; scans and files documents.
• Coordinates discharges and schedules procedures; ensures timely discharge.
• Maintains supplies and completes requisitions; reconciles deliveries.
• Monitors use of equipment (ID scanners, laptops) and keeps them accounted for.
• Works under supervision; strong focus on customer service and inter-department liaison.
