Job summary

Piedmont Cartersville is seeking an Emergency Department (ED) Patient Flow Coordinator to oversee the movement of patients through the ED in a safe and efficient manner. The role coordinates patient care activities and serves as a liaison with ED medical staff to ensure timely delivery of care while promoting teamwork and professionalism.

The ideal candidate is an RN with ED experience, holds Georgia licensure, and meets required life support certifications.

Qualifications

• 1 year of Emergency Department experience.
• RN licensure in Georgia (NLC/eNLC multistate acceptable) required.
• BCLS, ACLS, PALS required.
• CEN preferred.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate patient flow through the Emergency Department to ensure safe, efficient care.
• Liaise between ED staff and patient care teams to optimize throughput.
• Delegate workload and model teamwork, leadership, and professionalism.

• Experience participating in and/or leading quality and process improvement projects Required

Licenses and Certifications

• RN - Registered Nurse - Georgia State Licensure and/or NLC/eNCL Multistate Licensure Required
• BCLS - Basic Life Support Required
• ACLS Required
• PALS - Pediatric Advanced Life Support Required
• CEN - Certified Emergency Room Nurse Preferred
