Job summary

Piedmont Henry Hospital in Georgia is seeking an Emergency Department Patient Flow Coordinator to ensure the safe, efficient movement of patients through the ED. This role coordinates patient care activities and serves as a liaison to ED medical staff, promoting teamwork and professionalism.

Requirements include Georgia RN licensure, BCLS/ACLS/PALS certifications, and a nursing degree with BSN preferred. A minimum of 1 year ED experience and involvement in quality/process improvement projects

Responsibilities

The Emergency Department (ED) Patient Flow Coordinator position is responsible for the overall movement of patients through the ED in a safe and efficient manner. This position will coordinate all patient care activities and be a liaison with the ED medical staff to ensure that care can be delivered in an efficient and safe manner. The Patient Flow Coordinator appropriately delegates the workload and is a role model for teamwork, leadership and professionalism in the ED.

Qualifications

Education

• Graduate from a nursing program Required
• Bachelor's Degree of Nursing Preferred

Work Experience

• 1 year of Emergency Department experience, as a registered nurse (RN) Required
• Experience participating in and/or leading quality and process improvement projects Required

Licenses and Certifications

• RN - Registered Nurse - Georgia State Licensure and/or NLC/eNCL Multistate Licensure Required
• BCLS - Basic Life Support Required
• ACLS Required
• PALS - Pediatric Advanced Life Support Required
• CEN - Certified Emergency Room Nurse Preferred
