Job summary

Piedmont Henry Hospital is seeking an ED Patient Flow Coordinator to manage patient movement in the Emergency Department, ensuring care is delivered safely and efficiently. The role works closely with ED staff and leadership to optimize throughput and patient experience.

Candidates must be a registered nurse with Georgia licensure, ED experience, and comfort leading quality improvement initiatives; BLS, ACLS, and PALS are required.

Qualifications

• RN license in Georgia or multistate licensure required.
• 1 year ED experience required and focused on quality/improvement.
• BCLS/ACLS/PALS required; CEN preferred.

Responsibilities

• The ED Patient Flow Coordinator ensures safe, efficient movement of patients through the ED.
• Coordinates patient care activities and acts as a liaison with ED medical staff.
• Delegates workload and models teamwork, leadership and professionalism in the ED.

Responsibilities

The Emergency Department (ED) Patient Flow Coordinator position is responsible for the overall movement of patients through the ED in a safe and efficient manner. This position will coordinate all patient care activities and be a liaison with the ED medical staff to ensure that care can be delivered in an efficient and safe manner. The Patient Flow Coordinator appropriately delegates the workload and is a role model for teamwork, leadership and professionalism in the ED.

Qualifications

Education

• Graduate from a nursing program Required
• Bachelor’s Degree of Nursing Preferred

Work Experience

• 1 year of Emergency Department experience, as a registered nurse (RN) Required
• Experience participating in and/or leading quality and process improvement projects Required

Licenses and Certifications

• RN - Registered Nurse - Georgia State Licensure and/or NLC/eNCL Multistate Licensure Required
