Stormont-Vail HealthCare is seeking a part-time ED nurse leader for the 12-hour night shift at Flint Hills. The role emphasizes motivational leadership, staff coaching, and throughput coordination within a multi-disciplinary team.

The ideal candidate will hold a BSN (preferred) with 2 years of acute care experience, KSBN licensure, and a strong focus on patient safety and quality improvement. This is a part-time, on-site position requiring active supervision during night hours.

Formación

• BSN preferred or Bachelor of Science in Nursing.
• 2 years of current experience in an acute care setting (preferred).
• Strong leadership and mentoring abilities; capable of staff coaching and performance management.
• Demonstrates awareness of patient rights and safety issues; minimizes risk.

Responsabilidades

• Provide leadership and motivation for ED night shift staff.
• Recruit, interview, coach and develop direct reports; manage staffing within scheduling rules.
• Deliver direct patient care per nurse practice act and hospital standards.
• Assess patient status, collect data, and adjust care plans accordingly.
• Administer medications and treatments per clinical protocols.
• Document in patient records accurately and timely; maintain charts and results.
• Establish care plans based on patient problems and resource availability.
• Participate in quality improvement activities and education for staff.
• Triages calls and directs patient flow; coordinate across units and departments.
