Job summary

Qualifications

• Active RN license in North Carolina or a compact state.
• Associate degree in nursing required; bachelor's preferred.
• Minimum 3 years of clinical nursing experience; 1 year in a leadership role preferred.

Responsibilities

• Completes daily patient assignments.
• Rounds with the physicians.
• Serve as resource to staff nurses, nursing assistants, monitors techs and unit secretaries.
• Assists with procedures, checks orders.
• Responsible for daily QC and equipment checks on unit.
• Evaluates daily patient acuity.
• Focuses on patient flow and expediting patient flow.
• Oversees quality of patient care and clinical staff education.
• Interfaces with Care Coordinator and discharge planning.
• Takes patient assignments when staffing options are exhausted.
