OSF HealthCare’s Emergency Department Technician role supports the ED patient care team under RN supervision. You perform basic patient care tasks, take vital signs, assist with daily living activities, collect specimens, and help with ECGs, crutch-walk teaching, spinal immobilization, wound care, and patient observation to ensure safety.

You will document information in patient charts and coordinate with the care team to ensure continuity of care.

Formación

• High School/GED required.
• BLS for healthcare provider CPR certification.
• CNA license in Illinois; EMT-B license may be required per state.

Responsabilidades

• Take vital signs and monitor patients.
• Assist patients with activities of daily living.
• Collect specimens and perform ECGs.
• Assist with post-mold application and crutch-walk teaching.
• Support spinal immobilization and basic wound care.
• Observe patients for physical or emotional changes.
• Record information in patient charts and communicate with the care team.
