Job summary

General Motors is seeking a technical leader to drive ECU software deployment across GM manufacturing sites onsite with significant travel. You will lead end-to-end reflashing, plan resources, and coordinate with software and engineering teams to ensure high-quality, scalable execution.

The role requires hands-on experience with vehicle ECUs and embedded systems, strong problem-solving, and collaboration across functions to standardize deployment practices.

Qualifications

• Experience leading teams in high-tempo, operational environments.
• Hands-on experience with vehicle ECUs and embedded systems.
• Knowledge of automotive protocols CAN/Ethernet.
• Experience using ECU diagnostics/reprogramming tools (NeoVI, vSPY, DPS).
• Understanding of end-of-line manufacturing and validation processes, including software flashing and verification.
• Proven ability to troubleshoot software/hardware integration issues.

Responsibilities

• Lead reflash events across multiple GM manufacturing sites, ensuring execution readiness and quality outcomes.
• Plan and coordinate reflash events in partnership with software and engineering teams, aligning timing to release schedules.
• Develop and execute reflash team resource plans, including staffing and site-specific support.
• Establish and manage the reflash environment at GM sites, providing on-site leadership to team members and contractors.
• Collaborate with manufacturing, engineering, and suppliers to standardize processes and drive improvements.
• Develop and deliver training for new team members and contractors with clear documentation.
