Job summary

General Motors seeks a seasoned embedded software engineer to design and lead bootloader and firmware development for microcontroller based automotive ECUs. You will translate system-level requirements, integrate vendor bootloaders, and ensure secure update and recovery flows within GM infrastructures.

Responsibilities include debugging across hardware, security modules, and communication stacks while collaborating with cross-functional teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required in Electronic/ Electrical/ Computer Engineering or related field
• Five years of experience as Software/Product Engineer or related

Responsibilities

• Design and lead embedded programming and bootloader software for automotive ECUs
• Translate system-level infrastructure and security requirements into detailed designs
• Integrate and configure vendor bootloader and software components into GM builds
• Analyze and debug complex programming/boot issues across microcontroller hardware and stacks
