UTHealth Houston seeks a dedicated Electroconvulsive Therapy Nurse (RN) to coordinate pre-treatment assessments and education for patients undergoing ECT. You will handle preoperative preparation, postoperative care, medication administration, airway and vital sign monitoring, and patient safety throughout the treatment process.

You will collaborate with physicians and multidisciplinary teams, maintain compliant documentation, supervise clinic staff, and respond to emergencies.

Competenze

• RN license in Texas is required.
• CSRN certification preferred.
• CPR certification required.
• ACLS certification required.
• Experience with ECT or pre/postoperative nursing is beneficial.

Mansioni

• Coordinate all pre-procedure activities including consults, clearance, and admissions for ECT.
• Assist psychiatrist or anesthesiologist in delivering quality patient care and education.
• Perform preoperative prep and postoperative care, including airway management and vital signs.
• Maintain patient charts and ensure timely, compliant documentation.
• Ensure clinic environment is safe, clean, and equipment is calibrated; respond to emergencies.
