Job summary

Vylor, Inc. is seeking an Ecotoxicology Intern to join our summer internship program for a 6‑month period starting in May 2027. The ESAL laboratory under Regulatory & Stewardship supports environmental safety characterization of candidate products through GLP-compliant studies.

You will gain hands‑on experience in non‑target organism testing, explore in‑vitro and in‑vivo testing approaches, and contribute to expanding laboratory capabilities and methodologies.

Qualifications

  • Minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0.
  • Currently pursuing a post‑graduate degree in entomology, microbiology, biology, biotechnology, or a related scientific field.
  • Experience with cell line maintenance and cellular testing is preferred.
  • Experience with invertebrate laboratory bioassays is preferred.
  • Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and record‑keeping ability.
  • Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within cross‑functional teams.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.

Responsibilities

  • Explore and optimize cell line maintenance procedures and phenotypic assays.
  • Collaborate cross‑functionally to evaluate in‑vitro cellular testing and its relationship to in‑vivo non‑target organism testing.
  • Research potential opportunities to expand in‑vivo testing capabilities.
  • Assist in the development and refinement of invertebrate laboratory bioassay methodologies.
  • Maintain accurate laboratory documentation and records in compliance with EPA Good Laboratory Practices (GLPs).
  • Support laboratory capability expansion projects and other ESAL initiatives as assigned.

The Ecotoxicology and Safety Assessment Laboratory (ESAL) within Regulatory & Stewardship supports environmental safety characterization of candidate products through laboratory studies conducted under Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) Good Laboratory Practices (GLPs). As an ESAL Intern, you will gain hands‑on experience in non-target organism testing, explore both in‑vitro and in‑vivo testing approaches, and contribute to the development of new laboratory capabilities and methodologies.

What you'll do:

  • Explore and optimize cell line maintenance procedures and phenotypic assays.
