Vylor is seeking an AFT Engineering Control Intern with the capabilities to successfully complete an internship during the spring and summer (January through August) of 2027 in the Des Moines metro area. The role of this internship is to deliver software solutions for equipment designed by our engineering teams.
As a member of the Automation & Field Technology team, you will have opportunities to do the following:
Work on a cross-functional project team to meet customer requirements and expectations.
Develop, test, andmaintainsoftware solutions driven by a seasonal schedule.
Develop an understanding of researchfield, lab and seed production equipment and critical technology needs.
What You’ll Do:
Ability to work safely around common shop equipment.
Demonstrated respect for the environment.
Ability to work as a valued teammate withthe highestrespect for all people.
Work in a legal and ethical manner.
Currently enrolled as a full-time student at an engineering accredited college or university.
Proven experience developing software in C#.NET, Python, StructuredTextor Java.
Experience or willingness to learnIEC 61131PLC Programming languages.
Ability to work in the U.S. without restriction.
What Skills You Need:
Knowledge of design patterns and N-Tieredarchitecture.
Experience with CRUD database interaction.
Understanding ofsynchronous programming concepts such as locking on shared resources, deadlock, and race conditions.
Experience with YOLO machine learning model training
Experience communicating with devices through:
Serial communication:ModbusRTU, CAN protocol.
Ethernet based protocols:EtherCAT,PowerLink,EthernetIP, Modbus TC
