Job summary

Vylor, Inc. is seeking an AFT Engineering Control Intern for a spring–summer internship in 2027 in the Des Moines metro area.

You will deliver software solutions for equipment designed by our engineering teams and work on a cross-functional project team to meet customer requirements. You’ll develop, test, and maintain software across languages such as C#.NET, Python, StructuredText, or Java, with exposure to IEC 61131 PLC programming.

Qualifications

• Currently enrolled as a full-time student at an engineering accredited college or university.
• Proven experience developing software in C#.NET, Python, StructuredText or Java.
• Experience or willingness to learn IEC 61131 PLC programming languages.
• Ability to work in the U.S. without restriction.

Vylor is seeking an AFT Engineering Control Intern with the capabilities to successfully complete an internship during the spring and summer (January through August) of 2027 in the Des Moines metro area. The role of this internship is to deliver software solutions for equipment designed by our engineering teams.

As a member of the Automation & Field Technology team, you will have opportunities to do the following:

• Work on a cross-functional project team to meet customer requirements and expectations.

• Develop, test, andmaintainsoftware solutions driven by a seasonal schedule.

• Develop an understanding of researchfield, lab and seed production equipment and critical technology needs.

What Skills You Need:

• Knowledge of design patterns and N-Tieredarchitecture.

• Experience with CRUD database interaction.

• Understanding ofsynchronous programming concepts such as locking on shared resources, deadlock, and race conditions.

• Experience with YOLO machine learning model training

Experience communicating with devices through:

• Serial communication:ModbusRTU, CAN protocol.

• Ethernet based protocols:EtherCAT,PowerLink,EthernetIP, Modbus TC
