Job Description
Economists at Amazon partner closely with senior management, business stakeholders, scientists, engineers, and economist leadership to solve key business problems across various domains such as Amazon Web Services, Kindle, Prime, inventory planning, international retail, third-party merchants, search, pricing, labor and employment planning, and benefits (health, retirement, etc.). Amazon Economists build econometric models using our world-class data systems and apply approaches from fields like applied macro/time series, microeconometrics, empirical IO, health, labor, and public economics. You will work in a fast-moving environment to solve business problems as part of cross-functional teams or central science and economics organizations. Your role involves developing econometric techniques for large data sets, addressing quantitative problems, and contributing to automated system designs.
