Job summary

CSU Stanislaus is seeking a temporary hourly-intermittent work-study student assistant in Economics. The role supports faculty, staff, and students with office tasks, data entry, and event coordination on campus.

The position runs Sept 21, 2026 through May 21, 2027, with potential reappointment. Applicants must be enrolled in at least six Fall/Spring units and have a Financial Aid award for the current term.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word and Excel) and related office software.
• Ability to follow instructions and explain processes to others.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information.
• Effective written and verbal communication skills.
• Experience in an office setting is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Respond to telephone and email inquiries.
• Assist faculty, staff, and students as needed.
• Collect, sort, deliver mail and campus deliveries.
• Monitor office supplies and inventory levels.
• File, scan, copy, and organize documents.
• Enter data and update departmental records.
• Assist students with basic inquiries.
• Support departmental projects and events.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
