Qualifications

• Pursuing a Masters or PhD in statistics, economics, data science, applied mathematics, quantitative finance, or related quantitative field, with expected graduation between Dec 2027 and Summer 2028.
• Strong foundation in probability, statistics, and regression analysis, with exposure to econometrics (time-series and causal analysis).
• Ability to use AI tools to accelerate work without outsourcing thinking to them.
• Proficiency in Python or similar to prepare data, conduct analysis, and build models; ability to express statistical concepts clearly even if not coding.

Responsibilities

• Translate open-ended business questions into an analytical plan with clear deliverables that translate to tangible benefits to revenue.
• Explore, clean, and validate housing, economic, business, or financial data; document assumptions and data quality issues.
• Build and compare models to support prediction and forecasting.
• Transform observational data into causal models using identification strategies.
• Design experiments to improve pricing and operations across businesses.
• Evaluate models with baselines and time-based validation; communicate uncertainty and trade-offs.
• Create reproducible analyses, visualizations, or reporting workflows for partners.
• Share approach, results, and recommendations with technical and nontechnical audiences and document for handoff.
