Job summary

Chippewa County Human Services is seeking an Economic Support Specialist to determine eligibility and provide ongoing case management for Medical Assistance, BadgerCare Plus, Food Share, CTS, and Wisconsin Shares subsidies.

The role supports remote work and requires occasional in-person meetings at the Chippewa County Courthouse. Candidates must reside in Wisconsin and hold a Bachelor's degree with at least one year of relevant experience, plus a valid driver's license.

Qualifications

• Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor's degree with one year or more experience as an Income Maintenance/Economic Support Specialist in Wisconsin.
• Or Bachelor's degree in Human Services or related field with one year of recent human services/financial work experience.
• Knowledge of computers and strong interpersonal skills; Valid driver's license required.

Responsibilities

• Determine eligibility and provide ongoing case management for Medical Assistance, BadgerCare Plus, Food Share/SNAP, Caretaker Supplement (CTS), and Wisconsin Shares Child Care subsidies.
• Ensure timely and accurate processing and compliance for income maintenance programs.
• Occasional in-person meetings at the Chippewa County Courthouse with remote work options.

The position is remote and requires in-person meetings located at the Chippewa County Courthouse on occasion. Must reside in Wisconsin.

***** OTHER EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS: Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor's degree with one (1) year or more experience as an Income Maintenance/Economic Support Specialist in the state of Wisconsin required, -OR- Bachelor's degree in Human Services or financial related program required with one (1) year of recent human Services Or Financial Work Experience Preferred. Previous Direct customer service work experience with benefit programs and determining Benefit Eligibility Preferred. Must Have Knowledge Of And Experience with computers and strong interpersonal skills. Valid driver's license required.
