Job summary

Uintah County is seeking an Economic Development Manager to advance initiatives across Uintah County and the Vernal area. The role focuses on downtown revitalization, small-business support, and linking visitor activity with long-term investment.

The incumbent will oversee the Economic Development Advisory Board, coordinate with municipal partners and state agencies, and manage budgeting and grant documentation. Evening/weekend meetings and some in-state travel may be required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Public Administration, Business Administration, Marketing, Communications, Economics, or related field.
• 4+ years of professional experience in economic development, community planning, chamber of commerce operations, or project coordination.

Responsibilities

• Support economic development, business retention, and community revitalization projects across Uintah County and Vernal.
• Plan and execute downtown revitalization initiatives and small-business support programs.
• Coordinate with Vernal Innovation Hub, Uintah County Economic Development Advisory Board, and Rural County Grant Program.
• Track program performance metrics and monitor budgets.
