Job summary

Uintah County in Utah seeks an Economic Development Manager to lead economic growth, business retention, and community revitalization across Uintah County and the Vernal area. You’ll coordinate with municipal partners, chambers, and state agencies to drive downtown revitalization and support small businesses while overseeing advisory boards and grant programs.

The role requires a Bachelor's degree in a relevant field and at least four years of experience, with a valid Utah driver’s license and

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree plus at least four (4) years of professional experience in economic development, community planning, chamber operations, or project coordination.
• Self-motivated, results-driven, organized and detail-oriented with strong interpersonal skills.
• Must have a valid Utah State Driver’s License and be able to attend occasional meetings/events and travel in-state.

Responsibilities

• Plan and execute downtown revitalization initiatives and small-business support programs.
• Oversee the Uintah County Economic Development Advisory Board and Rural County Grant Program.
• Coordinate with Vernal Innovation Hub and liaise with local partners, chambers, and state/federal agencies.
• Monitor project budgets, compile grant documentation, and track performance metrics.
• Represent the county at trade shows, merchant meetings, and local events.
