State of Nebraska’s Economic Development Department seeks a seasoned Economic Development Business Recruitment/Development Manager in Lincoln, NE to lead recruitment and development initiatives. You will coordinate programs, engage with businesses, and promote growth across the state.

Qualifications

• Minimum qualifications include post-high school coursework in business administration, economics, marketing or finance.
• Bachelor’s degree preferred; 5–7 years in advanced sales, economic development or international marketing.
• Foreign language abilities would be a plus.

Responsibilities

• Administration of department programs including planning, organizing, coordinating, and supervising personnel.
• Formulate and implement industry and workforce recruitment efforts.
• Identify, prospect, and close negotiations with businesses to relocate or expand in Nebraska.
• Represent the state at trade shows and conferences to promote recruitment efforts.
• Serve as liaison with communities, businesses, workforce, and entrepreneurs regarding development needs.
