The Nebraska Department of Economic Development is seeking an Economic Development Business Recruitment/Development Manager to join their team in Lincoln, NE. The role develops and coordinates business and workforce recruitment programs and partners with businesses to attract enterprise, talent, and investment for Nebraska.

Under administrative direction, you will coordinate programs and serve as a liaison with state and federal agencies.

Qualifications

• Post high school coursework in business administration, economics, marketing or finance.
• Bachelor’s degree preferred.
• 5-7 years experience in advanced sales, economic development and/or international marketing.
• Foreign language speaking abilities would be a plus.

Responsibilities

• Administration of program funding and department personnel.
• Formulate and implement industry and workforce recruitment efforts.
• Identify, prospect, and negotiate with businesses to relocate or expand in Nebraska.
• Represent the state at trade shows and economic development conferences.
• Liaise with communities, businesses, workforce, and entrepreneurs regarding development needs.
