Job summary

ACCO Brands is seeking a Marketing Content Writer to craft product descriptions for digital platforms, leveraging AI-assisted tools to support research, ideation, and optimization while maintaining brand voice and accuracy.

You will collaborate with marketing and product teams to ensure copy is engaging, compliant, and aligned with each brand’s voice, including SEO considerations and CMS/database updates.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Marketing, English or related field.
• 3-5 years of professional writing experience for ecommerce direct-to-consumer; product descriptions preferred.
• Strong grammar, spelling, punctuation, and syntax.
• Ability to write in multiple voices and concise complex topics.
• Experience adopting emerging content technologies to improve productivity and quality.
• Understanding of SEO, AEO, and AI-driven search experiences.

Responsibilities

• Write ecommerce copy for product descriptions, emails, and digital copy.
• Quality control: fact-checking and editing.
• Collaborate with marketing to capture product information and benefits.
• Ensure voice aligns with each brand.
• Load content and attributes in online databases using Excel and CMS.
• Track changes in project management systems.
• Coordinate with Marketing Content Manager and Product Managers to meet deploy dates.
• Participate in marketing meetings and collaborate with internal and external stakeholders.
• Use AI tools to accelerate research, drafting, and optimization.
• Apply AI/SEO best practices to improve discoverability.
• Stay current on AI-enabled content tools and improve content creation processes.
