You will edit, proofread, and optimize content using AI-enabled tools, ensuring accuracy, brand voice, and editorial judgment while aligning with SEO strategies. This hybrid Illinois-based role collaborates with marketing, product teams, and designers to drive growth and customer engagement.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required in Communications, Marketing, English or related field.
• 3–5 years of professional ecommerce writing experience; product descriptions highly desirable.
• Strong grammar, spelling, punctuation, and syntax.
• Ability to write in multiple voices for diverse audiences.
• Adaptability in adopting emerging content technologies and AI tools responsibly.
• Understanding of SEO, AEO, and AI-driven search experiences.

Responsibilities

• Write ecommerce copy for product descriptions, emails, and digital copy.
• Maintain high standards, fact-check, and edit for quality control.
• Collaborate with marketing to capture accurate product info and benefits.
• Ensure copy matches the correct brand voice and CMS platforms.
• Load and maintain marketing copy and attributes in databases using Excel and CMS.
• Coordinate with Marketing Content Manager and Product Managers to meet deploy dates.
• Participate in meetings and work with internal and external stakeholders.
• Utilize AI tools to accelerate research, drafting, and optimization.
• Evaluate AI-generated content for accuracy, brand alignment, and customer relevance.
• Apply SEO and emerging AI content best practices for discoverability.
