Job summary

Staffmark Group in Plano, TX is seeking an experienced Ecommerce Data Analyst for an on-site contract role. You will build sales forecasts and perform deep analytics across promotions, traffic and channels.

Responsibilities include creating monthly and quarterly targets, supporting supply chain alignment, and presenting data-driven insights to leadership. Strong Excel, Python and ML experience are valued.

Qualifications

• 6+ years in Ecommerce planning, category management, or data analytics with a quantitative focus.
• Degree in Business/Economics, math, analytics or engineering is required.
• Advanced Excel skills to integrate complex data for forecasting and analysis.
• Experience with ML/AI models for forecasting and promotional analytics is a plus.
• Python coding for ML and building agents is a plus.

• Analyse promotions for attribution, elasticity and ROI.
• Create a playbook for lift and promo recommendations to hit goals.

• Support supply chain forecast and demand/supply alignment.
• Understand mobile promotions, sales and channel actions.
• Improve long-term forecasting with analytical methods; apply ML/AI methods.
• Develop data-driven storytelling for leadership and cross-functional teams.

Job Title: eCommerce Data Analyst

Location: Plano, TX

Pay Rate: 68.00/hr

Schedule: Fully on-site, Monday thru Friday 8:00AM to 5:00PM (hours may vary)

Responsibilities:

• Hands-on to build Sales forecasting using several variables (Traffic, Seasonality, multiple promos etc.)
• Develop weekly/monthly/quarterly sales forecast for both quantity and revenue
• Promotional analysis for attribution, elasticity and ROI/financial analysis
• Build a play book to use Promotional lift and to recommend promos to achieve goals
• Develop monthly/quarterly targets and distribute the targets to various categories/channels and traffic drivers for Ecommerce
• Support supply chain team/process on forecast and demand/supply alignment
• Deep understanding of Mobile promotions, sales and channel actions
• Knowledge of supply chain management, PSI management, supply planning is required.
• Improve long term forecasting w/suitable analytical methodologies
• Use advanced analytics methodologies such as ML/AI forecasting methodologies for sales forecasting
• Knowledge of building agents for supply chain
• Create presentations with compelling data driven story to share with leadership, cross-functional teams to provide insights and recommendations
• Work with Category Management, Finance and Operations team to define and work on gap closures

Requirements:

• 6+ years of experience in Ecommerce business planning, category management and/or data and analytics-intensive role with an emphasis on Quantitative analytics
• Bachelor's degree in Business/Economics or in math/analytics/engineering is required
• Hands-on with advanced excel with attention to detail to integrate complex data to build forecasting and to perform analysis
• Knowledge of ML/AI models for forecasting, pricing and promotional analytics for business analytics will be a plus.
• Experience of writing code for ML in Python and building agents will be a plus.
• Experience with Financial analysis to build business cases and to create P&L analysis
• Adaptability, using advanced preparation to quickly pivot throughout the week
• Exceptional presentation skills with good Microsoft PowerPoint capabilities

Preferred Qualifications:

• MBA would be a plus
• Experience of working with Telecom, Technology, Consumer Electronics and/or Retail industry is strongly preferred
• Creative thinker with excellent business acumen, analytical skills and experience with statistical modelling
• High level of confidence, integrity, enthusiasm, executive presence that fits a fast-paced, energetic and proactive organization
