We are seeking a data-driven Senior Demand Planning & Commercial Analytics Manager to drive our e-commerce business planning, forecasting, and promotional analytics. In this role, you will lead the end-to-end sales forecasting process, build ROI models for promotional campaigns, and align demand planning with supply chain execution. You will act as a key cross‑functional partner to Category Management, Finance, and Operations, leveraging advanced analytics to maximize revenue and guide executive strategy.
Key Responsibilities
- Sales Forecasting & Planning: Build and maintain hands-on quantitative sales forecasts (quantity and revenue) on a weekly, monthly, and quarterly basis, incorporating variables such as traffic, seasonality, and promotional calendars.
- Target Distribution: Develop monthly/quarterly targets and allocate them across e-commerce channels, categories, and traffic drivers.
- Promotional Analytics & Playbooks: Conduct promotional lift, elasticity, and financial ROI analyses. Build a playbook to recommend optimal promotional strategies that align with business goals.
- Supply Chain Alignment: Partner closely with supply chain and operations teams on PSI management, supply planning, and demand/supply alignment.
- Advanced Analytics & AI Integration: Implement advanced statistical and ML/AI forecasting methodologies to improve long-term forecasting accuracy. Explore opportunities to build AI agents to streamline supply chain workflows.
- Commercial Support & Gap Closure: Collaborate with Category Management, Finance, and Operations to identify performance gaps and drive corrective actions.
- Executive Presentations: Synthesize complex data into compelling, story-driven presentations for leadership and cross-functional teams to influence strategic decisions.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Experience: 8+ years of experience in e-commerce business planning, category management, or a data-intensive quantitative analytics role.
- Industry Focus: Strong background in Telecom, Technology, Consumer Electronics, or Retail is strongly preferred. Deep understanding of mobile promotions and channel mechanics is a major plus.
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Business, Economics, Mathematics, Analytics, or Engineering required. MBA preferred.
- Technical & Analytical Skills: Advanced Excel proficiency for complex data integration and modeling. Experience with financial analysis, P&L modeling, and business case development.
- Advanced Analytics & Coding (Plus): Hands-on experience with ML/AI models for forecasting, pricing, or promotional analytics (including writing ML code in Python or building AI agents) is highly desired.
- Communication: Exceptional presentation skills using Microsoft PowerPoint with the ability to convey clear data insights to executives.
- Attributes: Proactive, highly adaptable, strong business acumen, and comfortable managing fast-paced operational pivots.
