Job summary

Webgility is building a White Glove service team and seeks an experienced Lead Accountant with e-commerce know-how. You’ll onboard customers, clean historical data, and teach clients how to close books using our software, acting as an outsourced Controller for Shopify and Amazon brands.

You’ll design the financial tech stack, map channels to GLs, set up clearing accounts, and guide three month-end closes while reconciling Stripe/PayPal payments with cart data.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or commerce.
• 5+ years of hands-on accounting experience in CAS or e-commerce brands.

Responsibilities

• Design the Financial Tech Stack mapping sales channels to GL accounts.
• Set up clearing and holding accounts to manage timing differences.
• Clean historical data, identify duplicate transactions and unrecorded fees.
• Reconcile Amazon settlements with bank feeds to ensure books match.
