Job summary

Babilou Family US in Lowell, MA is seeking an Assistant Teacher to join our team and help provide a safe, nurturing learning environment for children aged 0–5. You will support the Certified Teacher, implement meaningful activities, and maintain an eco-minded classroom aligned with Sustainable Education®.

This role emphasizes teamwork, sustainability, and family partnerships. This year‑round position requires strong communication, safety awareness, and a commitment to ongoing professional growth

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Experience with young children in childcare or educational setting.
• Knowledge of child development and classroom safety standards.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills; able to follow lesson plans.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Certified Teacher with daily lesson plans and age-appropriate activities.
• Supervise children and ensure safety; report any concerns.
• Engage families with sustainable communication and parent events.
• Participate in required training and collaborate with the team on sustainability initiatives.
