Job summary

SpecialtyCare ECMO Coordinator role in the United States leads policy development, staff education, and quality assurance for the ECMO program. Provides expert clinical oversight and back-up to the ECMO Specialist/Primer as needed, ensuring ELSO standards and documentation are met.

Ideal candidate holds a BS in a healthcare-related field, CPR/BLS; ACLS preferred, with at least three years of ECMO experience and the ability to work effectively in a high-stress OR environment to deliver excellent

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science degree preferred in a healthcare-related field.
• CPR or BLS certification; ACLS preferred.
• Minimum of three years ECMO experience.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement ECMO policies and procedures.
• Ensure staff training on ECMO standards and perfusion tech.
• Provide supervision to ECMO staff and ensure standards of care.
• Maintain ELSO documentation and reporting requirements.
• Ensure proper equipment function and supplies; back-up as needed.
• Lead initial priming, circuit changes and therapy discontinuation.
