Job summary

SpecialtyCare is hiring an ECMO Coordinator in California to lead the ECMO program, educate staff, and ensure quality care. You will oversee policy development, equipment maintenance, and compliance with reporting requirements, while serving as back-up to the ECMO specialist.

The role emphasizes hands-on patient care and collaboration with OR teams. Ideal candidates have a BS in a healthcare field, current CPR/BLS, ACLS preferred, and at least three years of ECMO experience, plus strong

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science Degree in healthcare related field preferred.
• CPR or BLS certification; ACLS preferred.
• Minimum three years ECMO experience.
• Excellent communication and computer skills.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement ECMO policies and procedures.
• Ensure staff are trained on ECMO standards of care and perfusion technology.
• Supervise ECMO staff and enforce standards of care.
• Meet ELSO documentation and reporting requirements.
• Maintain ECMO equipment and supplies.
• Act as back-up to ECMO specialist/primer.
• Participate in priming, circuit changes and therapy discontinuation.
• Ensure safe setup and troubleshooting of ECMO equipment.
• Maintain competency in pump technology.
• Provide 80% direct patient care in role.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
