Job summary

Sovah Health - Danville, part of Lifepoint Health, is hiring an Echocardiology Technician to perform echocardiography procedures and support patient care in a full-time capacity. The role emphasizes patient education, teamwork, and precise imaging to assist cardiology teams.

Applicants should have an associate's degree with echo certification or registry eligibility within one year, strong critical thinking, and the ability to work under pressure.

Qualifications

• Associate's degree required; echo certification preferred or registry eligible within one year of employment.
• Strong critical thinking and decisive judgment; ability to work with minimal supervision.
• Ability to work in a stressful environment and take appropriate action.
• BLS certification or equivalent is required.

Responsibilities

• Review patient history and physician orders.
• Educate patients about procedures, equipment and exams to ensure understanding and cooperation.
• Prepare and administer contrast media and/or medications within scope of practice when ordered.
• Monitor patient condition continually and respond to changes in status as appropriate.
• Prepare equipment and supplies for echocardiography procedures.

How You'll Contribute

An Echocardiology Technician who excels in this role:

Hourly Range: $30.20-$39.01 per hour.
