Echocardiography provides non-invasive imaging (sonography) to analyze a patient’s heart, including the function of veins, arteries, chambers, and valves, assisting physicians in diagnosing heart disease.
Associate's Degree or equivalent combination of education and experience. Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer or Registered Cardiac Sonographer from the American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography, American Registry of Radiologic Technologists, or Cardiovascular Credentialing International registry. Sonography registered. Must complete specialty certification within 18 months of hire (e.g., General, Abdomen, Cardiac (Echo), Vascular, Breast, Fetal, Pediatric, Pelvic, Small Parts, or OB/GYN). 0 years of relevant experience required; 0-2 years preferred.
Note: Final candidates are subject to successful completion of a background check. A drug screen or physical may be required during the post-offer process.
