Job summary

Mount Auburn Hospital is seeking an Echocardiography Technologist to perform echocardiograms on inpatients and outpatients under the guidance of Cardiologists. The role includes handling TEE studies, following ASE guidelines, and participating in teaching activities with students and house staff.

The ideal candidate has at least one year of echocardiography experience, CPR certification, and RDMS/RDCS eligibility.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of ultrasound physics and anatomy as taught in college.
• RDMS or RDCS eligibility and CEUs current to maintain competency.
• CPR certification current.
• Minimum of one year echocardiography experience.

Responsibilities

• Performs echocardiograms on inpatients and outpatients following ASE guidelines.
• Acquires, calculates, and performs preliminary interpretation of studies.
• Utilizes ultrasound to guide invasive procedures under physician direction.
• Maintains equipment and adheres to safety and hospital policies.
• Participates in teaching students and continuous improvement efforts.
• Provides pre-procedure patient instruction and post-procedure support.
