Job summary

Intermountain Health is seeking an Echo Technologist to perform diagnostic cardiac exams under physician direction. The role is full-time (40 hours/week) with four 10-hour shifts (6:30 AM–5:00 PM) Monday–Friday, featuring a rotating day off and on-call duties with a 30-minute response time.

Primarily based at St. Mary's Regional Hospital with rotations at the Cardiology Clinic in Grand Junction, CO. ARDMS/CCI and BLS required; Bachelor's degree preferred. Location: Grand Junction, CO.

Qualifications

• ARDMS or CCI certification in cardiac or vascular sonography.
• BLS certification for healthcare providers.
• Bachelor's Degree from an accredited institution is preferred and will be verified.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrate technical competence for department-specific protocols.
• Prioritize and schedule exams.
• Coordinate exams with medical staff, physicians, other caregivers and patients.
• Prepare for exams by identifying patients, educating them, and transporting to exams.
• Perform ultrasound exams per related protocols and ensure timeliness.
• Ensure patient safety and comfort and achieve quality outcomes.
• Document results and apply appropriate charge codes.
• Mentor caregivers and students on equipment use and technique.
