Job summary

Reston Hospital Center is seeking an Echocardiographer Tech for a part-time role in Reston, VA. The position involves performing established echocardiography procedures for patients from neonates to geriatrics, while applying age-appropriate care and ensuring safety protocols.

The job requires a Cardiac Sonography program graduate, ARDMS credentialing, BLS certification, and a minimum of two years’ echo experience (vascular experience preferred).

Qualifications

• Education: Graduate of an accredited Cardiac Sonography program.
• Licensure: Registered Cardiac Sonographer.
• Certification: BLS certification required upon hire.
• Experience: Minimum of 2 years of echo experience; vascular experience preferred.

Job Summary And Qualifications

The Echocardiographer is responsible for performing all established echocardiography procedures. Considers age-related factors in care, treatment, education and evaluation of patients ranging from neonates to geriatrics. Applies knowledge of age-related factors appropriately in accordance with professional standards and departmental policies and procedures. Perform procedures safely and observes universal precautions at all times. Pursues professional development for the continual improvement of patient care. Performs related work as required.
