Job summary

StoneSprings Hospital Center in Loudoun County, part of HCA Healthcare, is seeking an Echocardiographer Technologist to perform echocardiography procedures and support patient care.

The role requires BCLS within 30 days of start and RDCS within 12 months, with a commitment to safety, ongoing learning, and teamwork in a fast-paced acute care setting.

Qualifications

• Basic Cardiac Life Support must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date.
• RDCS (Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer) must be obtained within 1 year of employment start date.
• Certificate must be obtained prior to or at start date.

Responsibilities

• Perform established echocardiography procedures.
• Consider age-related factors in care, treatment, education and evaluation of patients.
• Apply knowledge of age-related factors in accordance with professional standards and departmental policies.
• Perform procedures safely and observe universal precautions at all times.
• Pursue professional development for continual patient care improvement.

Job Summary and Qualifications

The Echocardiographer is responsible for performing all established echocardiography procedures. Considers age-related factors in care, treatment, education and evaluation of patients ranging from neonates to geriatrics. Applies knowledge of age-related factors appropriately in accordance with professional standards and departmental policies and procedures. Perform procedures safely and observes universal precautions at all times. Pursues professional development for the continual improvement of patient care. Performs related work as required.
