Job summary

Hackensack Meridian Health Inc. seeks an Echocardiographer to perform cardiac ultrasound procedures and support cardiology in stress echocardiograms and TEEs.

The role requires thorough knowledge of cardiac anatomy, physiology and pathophysiology to ensure high-quality imaging. Ideal candidates possess graduate training in cardiovascular technology or cardiac ultrasonography, with excellent communication skills and proficiency in common office software.

Qualifications

• Graduate of a certified cardiovascular technology school or accredited ultrasonography program with a specialty in cardiac sonography.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Proficient computer skills (Microsoft Office and/or Google Suite).

The Echocardiographer is responsible for performing cardiac ultrasound procedures. They also assist a trained, credentialed cardiology attending during stress echocardiogram and TEE procedures. Additionally, the position is responsible for complete knowledge of cardiac anatomy, physiology and pathophysiology.

Education, Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required:

• Graduate of a certified cardiovascular technology school and/or graduate of an accredited ultrasonography program with a specialty in cardiac sonography.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Proficient computer skills that may include but are not limited to Microsoft Office and/or Google Suite platforms.

Education, Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Preferred:

• One-year clinical echocardiography experience.

Licenses and Certifications Required:

• Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer Certification or Registered Cardiac Sonographer Certification or Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer Certification.
• BLS AHA Basic Health Care Life Support HCP Certification.

Working Conditions:

• Lifts a minimum of 50 lbs., pushes and pulls a maximum of 375 lbs. and stands a minimum of 4 hours a day.
