Title: Echocardiograph Technologist
Location: Portland, OR
Job Type: Full Time/Permanent, Part Time, On-call

This department has full-time, part-time, and on-call openings and is hiring for all three. Up to $10,000 Sign-On Bonus. The Echocardiograph Technologist performs cardiac ultrasound examinations according to physician's orders, utilizing a variety of complex ultrasound equipment. Objectively identifies the presence of or absence of disease utilizing a thorough knowledge of anatomy and physiology. Assists physicians with more invasive echocardiography examinations including, but not limited to, Transesophageal echocardiography, Trans-catheter echo guided procedures, pericardiocentesis, echo guided myocardial biopsies, contrast enhanced exams, exercise and pharmacological stress echocardiography. Has the ability to modify procedures, to meet special circumstances and/or provide clinically useful information on a cost-effective basis. Will comply with the standards set forth by the American Society of Echocardiography and departmental policies and procedures.

Required Qualifications:

• Oregon Sonographer upon hire
• National Registered Cardiac Sonographer - Cardiovascular Credentialing International or National Advanced Cardiac Sonographer - Cardiovascular Credentialing International or National Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer from American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography upon hire
• National Provider BLS - American Heart Association upon hire

Preferred Qualifications:

• Associate's degree in applied science, from a CAAHPE accredited school in Noninvasive Cardiovascular Technology, or Diagnostic Medical Sonography
• 1 year of experience performing cardiovascular ultrasound examinations, or minimum of 800 exams using all imaging modalities available
• Pediatric echocardiography experience
• Familiarity with imaging support of advanced heart failure patients (mechanical support devices)
• Experience with echo guided trans-catheter procedures
