The Echocardiograph Technologist performs cardiac ultrasound examinations according to physician's orders, utilizing complex ultrasound equipment. Responsibilities include identifying the presence or absence of disease, assisting with invasive echocardiography procedures, and modifying procedures to meet specific circumstances while providing clinically useful information cost-effectively. Compliance with the standards of the American Society of Echocardiography and departmental policies is required.
This role requires shared coverage for standby and callback emergency studies during evenings and weekends, possibly involving regional coverage or rotation through weekend shifts.
