Echocardiograph Technologist - Multiple Positions

Join our team at Providence as an Echocardiograph Technologist with multiple openings available, including full-time, part-time, and on-call positions. We offer flexibility to match your scheduling needs along with a $10,000 Sign-On Bonus for eligible rehires and external hires who meet the required qualifications and conditions of payment.

The Echocardiograph Technologist performs cardiac ultrasound examinations according to physician's orders, utilizing complex ultrasound equipment. Responsibilities include identifying the presence or absence of disease, assisting with invasive echocardiography procedures, and modifying procedures to meet specific circumstances while providing clinically useful information cost-effectively. Compliance with the standards of the American Society of Echocardiography and departmental policies is required.

This role requires shared coverage for standby and callback emergency studies during evenings and weekends, possibly involving regional coverage or rotation through weekend shifts.

Required Qualifications

• Oregon Sonographer upon hire
• National Registered Cardiac Sonographer (CCIC), National Advanced Cardiac Sonographer (CCIC), or National Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer (ARDMS) upon hire
• National Provider BLS (American Heart Association) upon hire

Preferred Qualifications

• Associate's Degree in Applied Science from a CAAHPE-accredited school in Noninvasive Cardiovascular Technology or Diagnostic Medical Sonography
• At least 1 year of cardiovascular ultrasound experience or a minimum of 800 exams performed
• Pediatric echocardiography experience
• Familiarity with imaging support for advanced heart failure patients (mechanical support devices)
• Experience with echo-guided trans-catheter procedures (e.g., at St. Vincent Medical Center)
