Job summary

Shift is full-time, 40 hours across 4/10s with rotating Saturdays at Saint Joseph Hospital in Denver. The department emphasizes teamwork, safety, and continuous learning for staff and students.

Qualifications

• Echo/vascular sonography competency required for department protocols.
• BLS certification for healthcare providers required.
• Preferred: Bachelor's Degree; degree verification required.
• 1+ year of experience in echocardiography or vascular imaging.
• Advanced technologist (III) requires multiple registries and senior competency.
• Internal candidates must provide supervisor endorsements; externals within 3 months of hire.

Responsibilities

• Perform ultrasound exams following department protocols and ensure patient safety and comfort.
• Coordinate exams with medical staff, offices, and patients; educate patients and families.
• Document results, assign charge codes, and maintain equipment and supplies.
• Mentor caregivers and students; participate in quality improvement and education initiatives.
• Provide education to colleagues, fellows, and students as appropriate.
