Qualifications

• BLS certification required within 90 days post-hire.
• Registration in Echo or Vascular specialties applicable to the work area.

Responsibilities

• Performs clinical assessment and diagnostic sonography examinations using specialized equipment.
• Explains testing procedures, takes patient history, and positions patient for optimal results.
• Views and analyzes images, determines diagnostic quality, and communicates findings.
• Maintains imaging data records and scheduling information.
• Maintains supplies, equipment, and work area; reports equipment failures.
• Ensures patient safety and provides comfort to patients.
• Leads department duties in a lead role and supports ACR accreditation processes.
• Assists in staffing and scheduling within the department.
