Job summary

Merit Health River Region Medical Center in Mississippi is seeking an Echo/Vascular Technologist to perform diagnostic ultrasound and vascular imaging to evaluate heart and vascular systems. You will support patient care across departments, ensuring accurate results to aid treatment planning.

The role requires 0-1 years of experience, basic imaging knowledge, and EMR proficiency. RDCS or RVT certification and BCLS are preferred, with daytime full-time scheduling and a commitment to patient

Qualifications

• 0-1 years of experience in echocardiography and/or vascular imaging.
• Basic understanding of echocardiography and vascular imaging techniques.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Proficiency with EMR systems and diagnostic imaging software.
• RDCS or RVT certification and BCLS certification are required.

Responsibilities

• Performs echocardiograms and vascular ultrasound procedures following protocols for high-quality imaging.
• Operates ultrasound equipment safely and maintains readiness.
• Records findings and prepares data for physician interpretation.
• Collaborates with healthcare teams across departments to coordinate patient care.
• Ensures patient safety and comfort during imaging procedures.
• Documents procedures and findings in EMR accurately and in compliance with standards.
• Assists with scheduling, preparing, and positioning patients for imaging.
• Maintains regular attendance and complies with all policies.
