Job summary

Johnston-Willis Hospital is seeking an Echo Technologist PRN to perform detailed analysis of cardiac anatomy, assist physicians during procedures, and monitor physiological parameters. The role includes ensuring quality care, maintaining equipment, and supporting education of staff.

The position requires BLS within 30 days, a High School diploma or GED, and RDCS/RCS certification within a year of starting. PRN opportunities offer flexible scheduling at a leading HCA facility.

Qualifications

  • BLS must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date.
  • RDCS or RCS certification must be obtained within 1 year of employment start date.

Responsibilities

  • Performs accurate analysis of cardiac anatomy and data for interpretation.
  • Assists physician during procedures and monitors physiological parameters.
  • Maintains department quality care within area of accountability.
  • Submits activity reports as requested.
  • Restocks work areas with supplies and keeps areas clean for patient safety.
  • Maintains lab equipment and coordinates repairs as needed.
  • Participates in continuing education and assists in training new staff.

Job Summary And Qualifications
  • Performs accurate analysis of all cardiac anatomy and assimilates appropriate data necessary for interpretation of the study.
  • Assists the physician as needed during procedures and monitors physiological parameters during procedures.
  • Performs job to ensure quality care is provided within defined area of accountability.
  • Completes department appropriate technologist structure reporting protocol as set forth by the accrediting body.
  • Restocks work areas with necessary supplies. Keeps work areas clean and orderly to promote patient safety.
  • Maintains lab equipment to ensure optimal functioning by inspecting for breakdown, troubleshooting and communicating with appropriate repair persons.
  • Submits activity reports as requested.
  • Participates actively in continuing education and assists in education of new staff as requested.

What qualifications you will need:

  • Basic Cardiac Life Support must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date
  • High School Graduate / GED
  • (RDCS) Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer, or (RCS) Registered Cardiac Sonographer must be obtained within 1 year of employment start date
